Privacy policy

Last updated: October 2026.

At regUNDO we take care of the personal data of the people who read us, write to us and support us. This policy explains what data we collect on regundo.org and regundo.com, what we use it for and how you can exercise your rights, in accordance with Argentine Personal Data Protection Law 25,326 and its regulations.

1. Data controller

The controller of the databases is regUNDO, a civil association based in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Contact: contacto@regundo.org.

2. What data we collect

We only collect the data you voluntarily give us when using the site:

  • Regulation reports: name, email, type of regulation, jurisdiction, rule involved, the description of the case, any files you attach (up to 3, up to 10 MB each) and whether you allow us to contact you.
  • Contact: name, email, subject and message.
  • Lawyers’ network: name, email, phone, bar registration number, jurisdiction, specialty and message.
  • Newsletter: email, name (optional), chosen frequency and language, and the confirmation date.
  • Donations: processed by PayPal or another payment platform. regUNDO does not receive your card details; it may only receive the payment confirmation, the amount and the contact details you allow the platform to share.

In addition, to protect the site from abuse, our servers log technical request data (such as IP address, date and time) for as long as needed for security purposes.

Please do not include sensitive data (about health, ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, union membership or sex life) in the forms or attachments, unless it is essential to your report.

3. What we use it for

  • To analyze reports, add them to the Regulatory Inflation Observatory and, if you allowed it, contact you to follow up or to assess legal action.
  • To answer your inquiries.
  • To assess applications to the lawyers’ network and coordinate with professionals.
  • To send you the newsletter you requested.
  • To record and acknowledge donations, and to comply with accounting and legal obligations.
  • To keep the site secure and prevent misuse.

Observatory results, studies and publications use information from reports in aggregate form or without data that identifies you. We do not publish your name or contact details without your express consent.

We do not sell, rent or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes.

4. Legal basis

We process your data based on the consent you give when submitting a form, subscribing or donating, and as necessary to comply with legal obligations. You may withdraw your consent at any time, without retroactive effect.

5. Who we share it with

To run the site we use providers that process data on behalf of regUNDO and only on our instructions:

  • Hosting: the servers that run the site and its databases.
  • Email delivery: Resend, for confirmations, notifications and the newsletter.
  • Institutional email: the provider of our mailboxes.
  • Payments: PayPal or another payment platform, for donations.
  • Audience measurement: Google Analytics, for visit statistics.

With your authorization, we may share the details of a report with lawyers in the network to assess legal action. We may also disclose data when required by a competent authority in accordance with the law.

6. International transfers

Some of these providers store or process data outside Argentina, for example in the United States. By using the site you consent to such transfers, which are made to providers that apply adequate security measures.

7. How long we keep it

  • Reports, contact messages and applications: for as long as needed to follow up and, at most, up to 5 years from receipt, unless there is ongoing litigation or a legal obligation to keep them longer.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. We keep your address marked as “unsubscribed” so we don’t email you again.
  • Donations: for the periods required by accounting and tax regulations.

After those periods, we delete or anonymize the data.

8. Security

We apply technical and organizational measures to protect your data: encrypted connections (HTTPS), access to the admin panel restricted to authorized people, and files attached to reports are stored in a private area that cannot be reached from the internet. No system is completely invulnerable, but if we detect an incident affecting your data we will act to contain it and inform you where appropriate.

9. Cookies and browser storage

The site does not use advertising cookies. It may store technical information in your browser that is needed for it to work, such as the key to a protected initiative, which is deleted when you close the tab.

We use Google Analytics to learn statistically how many people visit the site and what they read. Google Analytics uses its own cookies and does not tell us who you are. You can always block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

10. Your rights

You may request access to, rectification, updating and deletion of your personal data, and withdraw your consent, by writing to contacto@regundo.org from the email you contacted us with or by providing a document that proves your identity. We will respond within the legal deadlines: 10 calendar days for access and 5 business days for rectification, updating or deletion.

To stop receiving the newsletter, just use the unsubscribe link in any email.

Data subjects have the right to access their personal data free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless a legitimate interest is shown, as provided in Section 14(3) of Law 25,326. The AGENCY FOR ACCESS TO PUBLIC INFORMATION (Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública), as the supervisory authority under Law 25,326, is empowered to handle complaints and claims filed by anyone whose rights are affected by non-compliance with personal data protection rules.

11. Minors

The site is not aimed at people under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the site or to the law. The current version is the one published on this page, with its update date. If the change is significant, we will announce it on the site or by email to subscribers.

13. Contact

For any question about your personal data, write to contacto@regundo.org.
